The Spring season is in full swing. So I thought it was about time I let you know my ‘Lipstick Loves’ for the season. Below are three lipstick shades I’ve been wearing religiously.
Neek Skin Organics – Come into my world
Neek Skin Organics is an Australian company that thrives on being vegan, natural and kind to the skin. The founder of the company designed the brand around her own struggles with allergy prone skin. ‘Come into my world’ is the perfect balance between nude and a light pink. On my pale skin it appears more on the pinker side of a nude lipstick. But on darker complexions it will present as much more of a nude/beige tone….similar to blankety by Mac. This shade has been, and will continue to be a timeless staple to keep in your handbag at all times.
The formula is long lasting, semi-matte and has a bit of a waxy feeling on lips. I find this lipstick will slightly nourish and protect my lips from getting dry. However it will accentuate any dryness my lips have at the time of application. For perfect wear, I recommend gently exfoliating your lips before you wear this one. (Which you should be doing almost everyday regardless) I have a DIY lip exfoliating recipe here 🙂
Bloom Cosmetics – Sheer Pout
Bloom Cosmetics was my absolute favourite cosmetic brand as a young teenager. Sheer pout by Bloom is a lovely re-introduction to an old favourite.
The shade – ‘Sheer pout’ is a dusty/rose pink with an opaque finish. The formula is extremely nourishing and contains jojoba oil & beeswax. What does this look like? Think…your lips, but better!
This soft rose pink also doubles as a creme blush when on the go. Giving you gorgeous dewy, lightly flushed cheeks for Spring. I am constantly looking for products that give you that ultimate natural glamour. Spring time definitely has the ‘less is more’ attitude.
Giorgio Armani – Rouge D’amarni #503
A night out in Spring calls for a vibrant pink! #503 from the Rouge D’armani collection offers an intense, long lasting colour that will seriously still be there hours and hours later. #503 is a hot pink, but with a red undertone making the colour a bit deeper.
Sheer finish and intense colour is often not a common combination that goes hand in hand. But this formula is different because upon application what it does is injects the colour into the lips, staining the surface. Then that moisturising finish which comes with all sheer formulas acts as a barrier and locks in that colour. The sheeny barrier will disappear with wear, but the colour will stay completely. It is a very interesting lipstick! Un-faultable if you are looking for a sheer and long lasting colour. The $52.00 price tag is definitely justified in this instance.
